A leading offshore contractor is seeking two experienced QHSE professionals with Offshore Medic certification to join its team on a major decommissioning project in UK waters. Based aboard a specialist installation vessel, you’ll take responsibility for both health and safety oversight and onboard medical care, playing a vital role in safeguarding the crew and ensuring operational integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver expert HSE support across daily offshore operations.
Facilitate toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety meetings to build a proactive HSE culture.
Maintain and update all required documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and incident reports.
Conduct safety inspections and internal audits to monitor compliance with UK offshore legislation.
Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Act as the onboard medic: administer first aid and emergency medical care as required, maintain medical readiness, and manage medical inventory and equipment.
Secondary Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with offshore construction, marine, and project teams to embed safety across disciplines.
Maintain thorough records of all QHSE and medical activities onboard.
Experience & Competence
Prior experience in a combined HSE and Medic role in the offshore sector.
Deep understanding of UK offshore safety regulations and international best practices.
Resilience to work in demanding offshore environments and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting skills.
Essential Certifications
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent HSE qualification)
Offshore Medic Certification (or equivalent medical qualification recognised offshore)
BOSIET / FOET
GWO Working at Height
STCW95 Sea Survival
Onboarding locations include Flushing, Able Seaton, and Esbjerg (helicopter transfer).
Work conducted inside UK 12NM zone.
