Urban Planner/Architect:


We are seeking a forward-thinking and innovative Urban Planner/Architect to join our clients team, a leading renewable energy developer committed to driving the transition to a sustainable future. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in integrating urban planning and architectural principles into renewable energy projects, ensuring they are seamlessly embedded within communities and natural environments while promoting sustainability and inclusivity.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Planning and Design
  • Lead the design and planning of renewable energy infrastructure (e.g., solar farms, wind farms, microgrids) to harmonize with urban and rural landscapes.
  • Develop master plans for energy-efficient neighbourhoods, cities, or regions incorporating renewable energy solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with local zoning laws, environmental regulations, and land-use policies.
  1. Community Integration
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure renewable energy projects align with community needs, cultural values, and long-term urban development goals.
  • Conduct public consultations and workshops to gather feedback and foster community acceptance.
  1. Sustainability and Innovation
  • Incorporate green building standards, climate resilience strategies, and innovative urban design concepts into project development.
  • Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and developers to optimize the energy efficiency and ecological impact of projects.
  1. Regulatory and Technical Coordination
  • Develop planning documents, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for renewable energy projects.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies, local governments, and other stakeholders to streamline project approvals.
  1. Project Management
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for urban planning and architectural components of renewable energy projects.
  • Oversee contractors and consultants during the design and implementation phases.



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., AICP, LEED AP, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in urban planning or architecture, preferably with a focus on sustainable development or renewable energy projects.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in design and planning software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, Revit).
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems, sustainable urban development, and smart city technologies.
  • Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and land-use planning.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Innovative problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
