An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Mechanical Site Engineer to join a dynamic renewables team working on utility-scale projects across Italy. This is a key hands-on role within the construction and delivery phase of clean energy infrastructure — ideal for an engineer with a proactive mindset and a passion for sustainable energy.
Conduct initial site surveys and pre-condition assessments.
Support initial site setup in collaboration with HSE site engineers.
Work closely with the project manager, construction manager, and wider site team to ensure smooth project execution.
Supervise subcontractors, monitor progress and ensure alignment with project schedules.
Escalate any deviations from scope or programme of works.
Assist in budgeting for mechanical works and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
Provide ongoing technical support throughout the construction process.
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
2–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in the renewable energy sector.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and civil construction drawings.
Fluency in both English and Italian is essential.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
