Senior Land Acquisition Manager

We are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Manager to immediately add value to our fast growing Italian portfolio and lead our land acquisition efforts for photovoltaic (PV) projects in a target regions across Italy. The regions of interest are:

• Piemonte-Lombardia-Veneto
• Toscana-Lazio
• Marche-Abruzzo

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land acquisition, particularly in the renewable energy sector, and will play a key role in driving the growth of our solar project pipeline. The Land Acquisition Manager will lead the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of suitable land for solar developments, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Land Identification and Acquisition: Lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and acquire suitable land for photovoltaic projects across Italy.
• Market Research: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify strategic land acquisition opportunities in high-potential regions.
• Negotiation: Negotiate land purchase agreements, lease contracts, and other necessary legal agreements with landowners, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company standards.
• Permitting and Compliance: Work closely with local authorities, permitting agencies, and legal teams to obtain all necessary permits and approvals for land use.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, land scouts, and local communities to facilitate smooth land acquisition processes.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the development, engineering, and permitting teams to ensure that land acquisition aligns with project timelines and technical requirements.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on land acquisition progress, risks, and opportunities for senior management.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated on land use regulations, zoning laws, and environmental restrictions that impact PV project development in Italy.
• Network Development: Expand and manage a network of land contacts, including agents, landowners, and local officials, to secure new opportunities and enhance the company's land acquisition strategy.

Requirements:

• Experience: Strong experience in land acquisition, preferably within the renewable energy sector or related industries (e.g., real estate, infrastructure).
• Network: Strong land scout and landowner network
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Italian land use regulations, zoning laws, and environmental permitting processes.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in negotiating complex land deals and contracts.
• Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Autonomy: Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within Italy to oversee land acquisition activities and meet with stakeholders.
• Language: Fluent in Italian and understanding English.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for land analysis.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic project development processes.
• Experience using CRM and project management tools.
