HSE Advisor

An exciting position awaits in Middlesborough, UK, offering the chance to contribute to a cutting-edge offshore wind foundation fabrication project. 

This position is available for an immediate start and spans over 12 months, providing a stable and rewarding engagement. Working 40 hours per week, the role is inside IR35, ensuring compliance and security in your employment terms.

The role demands a seasoned HSE Advisor with a robust health, safety, and environmental management background, particularly within the offshore wind or similar heavy industrial sectors. 

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Extensive experience in HSE advisory roles, preferably within offshore wind or heavy industry environments.
• A thorough understanding of HSE regulations and best practices, with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining high safety standards.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and on-site personnel.
• Relevant HSE qualifications, such as NEBOSH or equivalent certifications.

In this role, the successful candidate will oversee all HSE aspects of the offshore wind foundation fabrication project. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
• Developing and delivering HSE training programmes to enhance safety awareness and competence among the workforce.
• Investigating incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborating with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into all phases of the project lifecycle.
