Passionate about clean energy

PACE Partners with Wind Empowerment to Bring Clean Energy to Underserved Communities

At PACE, we’re passionate about driving the clean energy transition—but we believe in making a direct impact too. That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with Wind Empowerment, an organisation dedicated to bringing small-scale wind power to communities that need it most.

Through this collaboration, we’re raising funds to support specific Wind Empowerment projects, such as a Ghana workshop or Makers Space in Accra. This initiative will provide vital training, resources, and wind-powered solutions to underserved communities, helping to create long-term, sustainable change.

Why Wind Empowerment?

For nearly two decades, Wind Empowerment has been transforming lives through small-scale wind energy. Founded in 2011 at the World Social Forum in Dakar, Senegal, the organisation now has 70+ member groups—including cooperatives, NGOs, and research institutions.

So far, Wind Empowerment has brought clean, life-changing electricity to thousands of homes, schools, and businesses in off-grid communities—empowering people, boosting economies, and creating a sustainable future. Now, they’re doubling their impact over the next decade, and we’re joining forces to make it happen.

What This Partnership Means

PACE is committed to raising £5,000 to support Wind Empowerment’s mission, with initial funding focused on a project in Ghana. By supporting this initiative, we’re helping to fund renewable energy workshops, skills training, and the development of locally built wind turbines—empowering communities with the knowledge and tools to create their own clean energy solutions.

How You Can Get Involved

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more details on how you can donate, spread the word, or get involved. Whether it’s supporting our fundraising efforts, engaging with our updates, or simply sharing this cause, every action helps drive real change.
