Team PACE swapped office chairs for hiking boots and took one of the UK's most iconic endurance challenges: The National Three Peaks.
That meant climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon - the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales.
25°C heat
We weren't doing it for the views (though they were amazing). We were doing it for Wind Empowerment, an organisation bringing clean, sustainable energy to underserved communities around the world.
Their approach is as inspiring as it is practical:
They run workshops teaching people in rural areas how to build and maintain small wind turbines using locally available materials.
It's not just about access to energy - it's about independence, skills, and long-term opportunity.
Our goal?
To raise £5,000 to fund the construction of two wind turbines in Ghana - providing enough daily energy to power lighting, charge phones, run radios, and support small appliances. A huge step forward for any off-grid community.
From a 3:30 pm start at the base of Ben Nevis to a final push up Snowdon in the afternoon heat, this challenge tested all of us - physically and mentally.
The moments that stood out?
There were quiet moments too - taking in the landscape, remembering why we were doing this, and being thankful for the opportunity to make even a small difference.
This wasn't just a challenge. It was a team effort, a shared mission, and a brilliant example of what happens when people come together with a common goal.
As a clean energy recruitment company, we talk a lot about the future - about building teams that will help shape it. But this weekend, we took a step further and literally climbed for it.
We couldn't be prouder of the effort, the cause, or the support we've received.
Still want to support?
If you've been following our journey and would still like to help us hit our fundraising goal - you can do that here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/powering-communities-three-peaks-challenge-for-clean-energy
Every donation goes directly to Wind Empowerment - and every penny makes a difference.
A huge thank you to:
We climbed 3 mountains - but this cause is bigger than any peak.
